As the seventh most sought-after country for family vacations in 2023, Greece emerges in a study published by the Family Vacation Guide, which calculated online searches for family vacations in 2021 and 2022 as well as corresponding posts on Instagram.In a recent study conducted by the Family Vacation Guide, Greece was named as the seventh most popular destination for families planning to travel in 2023. This ranking was determined by analyzing online search and booking activity over the past two years, as well as corresponding Instagram posts. Not only does Greece provide an array of activities suitable for family travel, but its rich culture and stunning landscapes also make it an attractive option for those looking to take a break from their everyday life. With its idyllic beaches, vibrant nightlife and unique historical sites, Greece provides a perfect mix of entertainment and relaxation - something that can be hard to find in other family-oriented destinations.
Greece collected 1,887 monthly searches on the internet in 2021 and 5,932 in 2022, while posts about our country on Instagram with a hashtag, as a family vacation destination, amounted to 92.
The first destination was Spain, with an average of 5,730 monthly searches in 2022, followed by Turkey (a 322% increase in searches compared to 2021) and Italy (with a score of 8.93 and 4,673 searches per month).
The most sought-after city was Paris, with a family popularity score of 9.03.
