The Palace of the Knights of Rhodes, opens its gates again this year to host the 14th year the International Festival of Rhodes. The 14th Rhodes International Festival will take place from September 7 to 13 at the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights, in the Medieval city of Rhodes, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Rhodes International Festival was founded in 2007 with the aim of upgrading the cultural identity of this beautiful place, promoting Cultural Tourism, as well as highlighting the historical monuments and the cultural heritage of the island. The festival has been recognized as one of the most successful institutions in the Greek region, has received excellent reviews from the Greek and international media and every year attracts music lovers from all over Greece and abroad.

Opera "Idomeneas" by W. A. Mozart

The New York-based Opera House "Teatro Grattacielo" and the Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy N.Y. present W. A. Mozart's opera "Idomeneas" in a pioneering form of alla breve. The opera "Idomeneas" is a co-production of the Teatro Grattacielo with the Cultural and Conference Center of Heraklion, Crete. Starring award-winning Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy N.Y. lyric singers who have excelled in these roles and come from New York and countries in Europe and Asia. (China, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Greece).
This wonderful opera is inspired by Greek mythology and the history of King Idomeneus of Crete, directed by Stefanos Koronaios, who is the Artistic and General Director of the cultural organization (Teatro Grattacielo & Camerata Bardi), the festival celebrates of 200 years since the Greek Revolution.

Tribute to Maria Kallas
On the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the death of Maria Kallas, the festival dedicates this concert to her memory, with the participation of international lyricists from the Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy in New York from around the world: Kinneret Elysoprano Nikitas Gkritzal - tenor, Chung Wing Kwan - soprano, Marios Maniatopoulos - tenor and Eva Marco - mezzo soprano. The piano is accompanied by Pavlos Kordis The program includes arias and duets from well-known operas by: A. Dvořák, G. Verdi, G. Bizet, W.A. Mozart, P. I Tchaikovsky, J. Stauss, G. Puccini, F. Clea

String Orchestra of the Athens State Orchestra
The String Orchestra of KOA, in the context of its summer tour in the islands of the South Aegean with the title festival "MusicKos", participates in the 14th International Festival of Rhodes, with its prominent musicians under the direction of the distinguished conductor Nikos Haliasas Belgian flutist Marc Grauwels. The program includes works by: Gluck, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Gouziou and Konstantinidis.

George Theofanous, composer-pianist
The concert is dedicated to the 30 years of great musical career of the talented composer and pianist George Theofanous who gave the Greek song great successes that were much loved and endured over time. Accompanied by four amazing voices, the participation of excellent musicians and the composer himself accompanying on the piano, the festival will present a unique concert, aiming to accompany us on this journey of 30 years.
