If you haven’t chartered from Rhodes yet, then you’re missing it out, the Dodecanese and the surrounding islands have incredibly interesting things to explore! And be sure, Rhodes is the perfect location to start your trip. You can yacht from Rhodes to Nisyros, Symi, Kos and Tilos, there are so many bays and cliffs that you can reach them only if you have a boat.



Sail to Kallithea Bay

Only 6 miles from Mandraki harbour you'll be able to find Kallithea Springs which is known for therapeutic properties, the springs of Kallithea were used by Italians, within the early 20th century, being very popular and attracting visitors globally.

There are several organized beaches here, scattered around the spectacular rocks of Kallithea Bay. You can explore the magical underwater world of the bay. It’s a perfect place for diving and snorkeling as there’s abundance of marine life, with a tremendous species of fish within its crystal blue waters.


Sail to Anthony Quinn Bay

One of the best beaches on the island of Rhodes is Anthony Quinn Bay, known from the popular movie “The Guns of Navarone”, and its 10 miles from the Harbour. Here you can relax and enjoy the blue waters with your friends!


Sail to Ladiko Bay

Ladiko Bay is located next to Anthony Quinn, it has swallow waters (4 meters) and you feel like you’re diving into a pool, surrounded by rocks and trees that reach all the way to the sea.


Sail to Traounou Bay

You can find Traounou Bay at the start of Afandou Beach, only 12 miles from Mandraki. Here you can find the impressive cave which is located on the left side of the beach. Its turquoise waters and the small pebble instead of sand will enchant you.


The Harbors of Rhodes

Rhodes island has two main Harbors:

• Mandraki Harbor

It is located near the old town and that is where most of the yachts are. The center of the island is near the port and there are cafes, bars and mini markets.

• The new Marina Port

New Marina Port is opened since 2015, is about 5 min driving away from Mandraki harbour. New Marina has its on refill station and all the necessities you need inside the harbour.


The weather in Rhodes

Rhodes has sunshine almost 300 days of the year, making it the sunniest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Rhodes has sunshine almost 300 days of the year, making it the sunniest island in the Mediterranean. Every season the sun takes on a different dimension. From April to October the 'Meltemi' can create issues in weather. During the summer months ‘meltemi’ is more intense with 4-6 Beaufort, in September slowly decrease. In Autumn and Spring, we don’t have strong wind (2-4 Beaufort).

It doesn’t matter when you will come in Rhodes, but always before your planning for sailing try to see the weather predictions to be sure that you will have a safe trip and you will enjoy your vacation in the Aegean crystal waters.
